We comply with the Data Protection Act to keep our clients’ information secure and confidential.

When undertaking work for schools and Social Services, it is understood that we will share relevant information with them, to assist them in their work. They are themselves bound by the Data Protection Act, to ensure that sensitive information is not shared with any unauthorised person.

Should any issues of safeguarding a child or a vulnerable adult arise during the work, we have a legal obligation to pass information to the appropriate agency so that they can safe-guard this person. This is the one occasion when we cannot keep this information confidential.  The same applies for schools and Social Services, who also have a duty to report and act on such information.
